Pain-Free Technique — That's the Difference

What is a Plantar Wart?

A plantar wart (also known as verruca plantaris) is a benign growth caused by a Human Papillomavirus (HPV) infection in the outer layer of the skin. The most common causative strain is HPV-1, followed by other low-risk types such as HPV-2, HPV-4, HPV-27, and HPV-57.

The virus penetrates the epidermal cells through tiny cuts, abrasions, or areas where the skin has softened. This triggers an abnormal overproduction of keratin, forming a rough, hard lump. They are most commonly found on weight-bearing areas like the heel and the ball of the foot.

With an incubation period lasting anywhere from 1 to 20 months, the early stages often present with no obvious pain or itching. Because of this, it is easily overlooked or misdiagnosed, leading to delayed treatment.

The Essential Differences Between Corns & Calluses

Plantar Warts are Contagious & Spread Through Contact

Surface Features: Plantar warts have a rough surface with multiple tiny black dots (thrombosed capillaries, commonly known as "wart seeds"). Removing the top layer reveals pinpoint bleeding and interrupts normal skin striations.【Corns】feature a translucent or yellow hard core in the center, with normal skin lines intact. 【Calluses】are flat, pale yellow, and also have normal skin lines intact.

Pain Trigger: When you have a plantar wart, squeezing it from the sides (the pinch test) causes significant pain, often feeling like you are stepping on a pebble. Conversely, corns and calluses are most painful under direct, vertical pressure.

Spreading Pattern: The way they spread is highly distinct. 【Plantar Warts】can multiply from a single wart into dozens, or spread to other parts of the body if scratched. 【Corns】are typically isolated to a single pressure point. 【Calluses】spread over larger, broad areas subjected to continuous friction.

Plantar Wart Treatment Process

All plantar wart assessments, diagnoses, and treatments are personally conducted by an Australian-Registered Podiatrist. Rather than simply managing the surface appearance or following a "cookie-cutter" approach, we provide comprehensive care—from precise diagnosis and debridement to complete follow-up. We prioritize low-pain techniques and aim for a complete cure by targeting the root of the viral infection.

Please note: the speed of improvement and the likelihood of full resolution vary depending on the severity of the infection, personal aftercare, and consistency with follow-up appointments.

Step 1 — Assessment

Determine if the lesion is a plantar wart, evaluate the affected area and severity, and check for any associated foot conditions.

Step 2 — Cryotherapy

Based on your foot's condition, our podiatrist will determine whether to utilize medical-grade equipment to apply targeted liquid nitrogen freeze-thaw cycles. This process safely destroys the infected tissue and triggers an immune response.

Step 3 — Follow Up

Upon completion, we provide tailored guidance on footwear, hygiene, and daily nail care. Where needed, follow-up appointments will be arranged to monitor your progress.
Advanced Technology — Plantar Wart Cryotherapy

Conducted by Australian-Registered Podiatrist

Our podiatrist brings over 25 years of clinical experience, developing personalised treatment plans tailored to each individual's condition.

Cryotherapy is currently one of the most common and professional methods for wart removal. By using the extreme cold of liquid nitrogen, it destroys the virus-infected tissue, causing the wart to gradually necrose and fall off. It breaks down the viral DNA, effectively "eradicating the infection without damaging healthy tissue." We use imported, medical-grade treatment devices, distinguishing our care from standard salon equipment.

The key to successful treatment lies in the podiatrist's clinical technique, not just the equipment. Complete eradication also depends on the patient's lifestyle and daily habits. We highly recommend consulting with us before deciding on any surgical wart removal procedures—getting a professional second opinion can significantly reduce the risk of complications and recurrence.

Finally free from the fear of spreading it to my family!

Catching a plantar wart at a public pool left me paranoid about infecting my kids in the bathroom.
The Podiatrist went above and beyond. Alongside a precise, painless cryotherapy session, he equipped me with clear, actionable steps to block cross-contamination entirely. Our home foot defense system is officially back to 100%. Outstanding medical expertise!

I thought I had a corn, but multiple hospital visits left it unresolved—costing me sick days and making walking painful. I finally booked an assessment here. The Australian-trained Podiatrist instantly diagnosed it as a plantar wart. His deployment of medical-grade cryotherapy redefined my entire perception of foot treatment. The precision handwork was incredible, isolating the viral core while leaving surrounding healthy skin untouched. Done in under 30 minutes, I was back in my sneakers and working the next morning with zero downtime. Real black-tech medicine from a genuinely ethical specialist!

Never try to DIY your wart removal with OTC acids…

I used a high-concentration wart liquid from a pharmacy that ended up burning my healthy skin, causing the wart to expand even further. A friend finally pointed me to a professional clinic. Dr. Lau identified a secondary infection, safely cleared it with incredible precision, and then performed medical-grade cryotherapy. The procedure was virtually painless—just a slight cooling sensation instead of the intense sting I expected. Two targeted sessions completely wiped out the viral core, restoring smooth skin. Game-changer!"

I thought it was a gym callus from heavy lifting—turns out it was a plantar wart!

Every time I hit squats or went for a run, the pain was excruciating. I tried pharmacy callus pads countless times, but they were all useless. After seeing an ad, I decided to visit. The difference was immediate, based on my condition, Dr. Lau recommended cryotherapy. I had never heard of it before, but the procedure was completely painless with zero bleeding. I walked right out of the clinic and stayed on track with my daily training. Huge thanks to Dr. Ryan!

Avoid blind and reckless trimming at all costs!

I only realised after consulting a professional that the nail salon staff simply shaved down the surface callus without addressing the core keratin plug at all. It felt soothing at the time, but the problem came back in just 1–2 weeks.

It was not until I saw the podiatrist that I experienced proper care. Using professional surgical blades, the doctor trimmed layer by layer along the natural texture of the stratum corneum, removing only dead and inactive pathological keratin. The whole process was completely bloodless, with a vastly more precise and professional technique. It made me realise just how unqualified those salon staff really were.

I wish I’d come here sooner!

I once had my corn treated at another clinic, but the practitioner was highly unprofessional and misleading. My condition ended up being unnecessarily delayed. I suffered from bleeding and severe pain, which even left me with psychological unease.

When my corn relapsed again, I decided to switch providers and give this clinic a try. I never realised how much a podiatrist’s technique and professional knowledge can affect corn recovery. This time, I finally experienced what true professionalism really means!

It turns out corn removal with medical blades is totally painless…

I once went to a so-called "Shanghai master" to have my corn removed, but it relapsed again very soon. After coming here for consultation, I found out their blades look blunt and are completely different from professional surgical blades!

What’s more, the podiatrist is highly skilled and experienced. The whole procedure went very smoothly with no bleeding and zero pain. I really regret delaying proper care just for the sake of saving money before.
